On 25-26 September 2024 Eurofish and the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food are organising the International Fisheries and Aquaculture Conference–Ways to a Circular Economy. SmartAqua4FuturE (SAFE) has helped organise the second session on Side– and waste streams within aquaculture. Speakers from the SAFE consortium, (Richard Newton from University of Stirling (United Kingdom), and Remigiusz Panicz from West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin (Poland) will have two presentations in this session: LCA analyses on side-streams in the aquaculture sector and Current challenges of pond aquaculture water and sludge waste streams and potential ways forward respectively.
