A new set of trials have begun at SAFE partner CTICH where we will be testing how well mushrooms grow on substrate containing sludge from a Norwegian salmon recirculation aquaculture system (RAS) farm. The sludge has been dried with Waister technology and mixed in various quantities to find the optimal combinations. Previous trials have shown positive growth using sludge from an extensive carp pond.
